Welcome to Surge to New Levels . We’re glad you’re here.


Surge is a semi-private gym built on respect, shared responsibility, and helping each other get stronger.

 

Staffed hours vary, so we rely on our members to treat the space well and support one another.

 

This guide covers the basics you’ll want to know to train confidently here.

Gym Hours

Surge is open 24/7 for open gym members. Front parking is reserved for staff and clients, and using the parking in the back helps keep access clear for those who need it most.

We only close for special events. When that happens, updates are posted at the gym, shared on Instagram, included in our newsletter, and reflected on our events calendar.

If you ever want to see what’s coming up, you can check the events page for upcoming dates and details.

Late Night access

If you train from 12pm to 5am, please follow these opening and closing instructions. Click the pictures for more detailed instructions.

  • If you’re the first one in, turn the alarm off and lights on.

  • If you’re the last one out, turn the alarm back on and lights off.​

  • In the Summer please close the garage door and put the fans on low when you are the last one out.

If you’re ever unsure, it’s okay to double-check or ask.

Surge has a wide range of equipment, including competition and specialty setups for powerlifting and strongman. You’re not expected to know everything right away. This section exists so you can feel confident using the space at your own pace.

Our equipment includes companies like Texas Power Bars, Ohio Power Bars, Kabuki Strength, Rogue Fitness, Texas Strength Systems, Elite FTS, Ghost Strong, Mike Bartos Power Center, Assault Fitness, Arsenal Strength, Legend Fitness, and more!

All our bars are color coded.

  • Squat Bar = Yellow

  • Power Bar = Blue

  • Deadlift Bar = Red

  • Crash Bars (Drop) = White

Some bars weigh more than a standard power bar.

  • Squat Bars = 55lbs

  • Safety Squat Bars = 65lbs

  • Duffalo Bar = 55lbs

  • Trap Bar = 60lbs

All platforms are carpeted

Event-exclusive Heartbreakers merch is released as a limited drop.

Quantities are limited and will not be restocked after the event.

No prior powerlifting knowledge is needed to enjoy the event.
