Important Meet Day Informaiton
Federation
This is a sanctioned PLU powerlifting meet conducted under current federation rules.
An active PLU membership is required to compete but is not required at the time of registration. Membership must be valid by weigh-ins. Memberships can be purchased at powerliftingunited.com

Flight A - All Women
Flight B - Teen, Sub-Master, and Masters Men
Flight C - Open Men
Divisions are grouped intentionally to promote fair competition, balanced flights, and an efficient competition day.

Weigh-Ins
24-hour weigh-ins will take place the day before the meet.
Primary Window:
Friday May 22nd, 2026: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Athletes are strongly encouraged to attend the weigh-in window aligned with their assigned session to help ensure an efficient process for everyone.
Limited appointments may be available outside these windows if needed. If you need an evening appoint please email surge@surgestronger.com
Mandatory Equipment Check
All athletes must complete equipment check prior to weigh-ins.
Please bring a valid photo ID and an active PLU membership. Digital memberships are accepted.
All items worn on the platform must be checked for compliance with current PLU rules, including:
• Mandatory: Singlet, T-Shirt, Belt, Legless Underwear, Deadlift Socks, Shoes
• Any additional equipment you intend to wear while lifting including - Belt, Knee Sleeves or Wraps, Wrist Wraps, Headband
Arriving prepared helps ensure a smooth check-in process and keeps the competition running efficiently.
Important Policies
Media
To protect the athlete experience and official event coverage, professional camera equipment including cameras with detachable or extended lenses is not permitted without an approved media pass.
Media passes are limited and must be requested in advance.
Coach Passes
Coach passes are required for anyone who needs access to restricted areas, including warm up rooms and athlete staging areas.
This policy helps maintain a controlled, safe, and efficient environment for all athletes. Coach passes are limited and should be secured in advance.
Deadlift Walkout Song
Athletes may submit a deadlift walkout song to be played during their 3rd deadlift attempt.

The Official Surge Legacy Media Team will be on site capturing platform moments throughout the day.
Media packages are available for advance purchase to ensure your lifts are professionally documented.
Official Athlete Recovery Partner
At Surge, we prioritize the athlete experience. That’s why we’ve partnered with Unbroken Rehab Athletics as our Official Athlete Support Partner, providing on-site support throughout the event.
You don’t need to be injured to benefit. Their team can help with quick feedback, movement adjustments, and proactive bodywork to keep you feeling and performing your best.
If anything feels off during warm-ups or between attempts, they’ll be available to help. Athletes can also request a complimentary bodywork session at their booth.
Platform Equipment
Competition will be conducted using professional, federation-approved equipment.
Athletes may squat from a monolift (walkouts permitted) or a Texas Combo Rack.
Bars will include a Kabuki Squat Bar, Kabuki Power Bar, and Texas Deadlift Bar.
Awards
Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each weight class across all divisions.
Best Lifter awards will be determined by DOTS and presented at the conclusion of the final session.
